About Crafted for Courage

Crafted for Courage is a public art initiative led by the Nota Bene Foundation to raise awareness about violence against women. The project invites individuals to knit or crochet squares, which will be assembled into blankets and displayed as part of an exhibition on May 10, 2025, at Esplanade PVM at Place Ville Marie in Montreal. The event will support local shelters for women in need.

How it works

Crafted for Courage operates through donations. Throughout the campaign, we collect financial contributions and handmade squares to assemble into blankets. On the day of the event, attendees who make a minimum donation will have the opportunity to select a blanket in exchange, symbolising their support for the cause. 100% of the money raised by this project will go to benefit the four named shelters.

Shelters supported
